As we teach students in a hands-on industry, we were disheartened by being unable to teach the way we do best: in person.
This is why we are offering online courses to our current students. We don’t want to delay their education! However, we know that the best learning is done in person in the classroom. Our instructors are working hard to provide theory online. But, we are excited to announce that we will be soon opening our doors, at least in phases.
As we start to open up, we will be following all guidelines set by the Utah Department of Health.
We’re doing our best to keep everyone safe, but we miss our students! Here’s a timeline of the changes coming to an education at Skinworks School of Advanced Skincare. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.
We are grateful for the opportunity to both help those who want a future in esthetics stay safe and learn. You can get any updates to this schedule by following us on Facebook or Instagram.
As we are opening up, here are some changes you can expect with our curriculum.
You Can Learn Theory Online
We are keeping only our theory classes online. While we understand online learning can be difficult, we want to minimize the risk to our students and are limiting in person classes in this way.
We will be doing our best to provide a good learning environment that doesn’t sacrifice the quality of a Skinworks education. If you have concerns about if an online education would work for you, get in touch with us and we can tell you more about what we are doing to provide the full learning experience!

Even though our salon and school aren't physically open, our students are still working hard to achieve their dreams in the world of skincare! Keep studying hard and we will hopefully see you soon! ❤️ Thanks for sharing your experiences with us @brandee_esthetic. #skinworks #skincare #skinworksschoolofadvancedskincare #weloveskinworks #utahesthetician #skinworksschool
We Will Keep the Practical Education in Class
A good esthetics career should be working with people in an environment that allows you to practice what you are learning. We are going to continue to provide opportunities for students to apply what they are learning, at first with other students.
We’ve tentatively set our opening date for June 2nd to be open to the public for our spa services, and we’d love to see all those who purchased gift cards from us come get the skincare experience they’ve been waiting for! We will continue to follow all guidelines set by the Utah Department of Health to keep everyone safe while at our school.
We will also continue to update our students and guests as these timelines change.
Why Pursue a Future in Skincare?
There have been a lot of changes coming through, from what services can be open, what’s had to close, and even how to adapt to learning and working from home.
While it may be even harder to make a big decision right now, it’s important to keep in mind that you deserve to find something you love doing. If you’ve always had a passion for skincare, here are a few reasons why it may be a good time to consider making a big change, even now.
We Miss Our Estheticians!
We’ve all missed the care of good estheticians and hair stylists as their doors have been closed. We hope everyone will support their local skincare specialist and get a much-needed treatment that can help relax and take a load off when they open once more.
We’ll be safely opening our doors when we can to provide the services our guests love most. But in the meantime, you can support us by getting a gift card that you can use when our doors are open and experience the care of good estheticians yourself with our tentative June 2nd date.
It’s a Good Time to Self-Reflect
It’s possible that you may have had some time on your hands to think about where you want your career to take you. We believe everyone deserves a career they can love! You may want to consider asking yourself these questions to decide if a career in skincare could be a good fit for you:
- Do you love working with and helping people?
- Are you passionate about creating an environment for yourself and others that achieves a holistic sense of wellness?
- Do you love the world of beauty?
While things are still uncertain, we are always here to support future estheticians. If you’ve wanted to learn a new skill, take the time to find ways to pursue what interests you most! You can explore each of our programs to see if there could be a good fit for you.
We Have Resources Available to Students
We also know a major concern for those looking to go back to school is how to afford a good education. That’s why we are grateful to be able to offer financial aid to those who qualify. We offer pell grants, subsidized and unsubsidized Stafford Loans, and Parental PLUS Loans.
We have a financial aid office with staff who work hard to answer any questions you may have about the financial aid application process and help you fit an esthetics education into your budget.
Schedule Your Virtual Tour
We’d love to help you on your new path. If you are still undecided about where your future can take you, a good option is to take a virtual tour from the comfort of your own home. As part of your tour, we can help answer any questions you might have about an education in esthetics like scheduling options, tuition costs, and dates of enrollment.
