Are you ready to jump into the world of skincare, but maybe your bank account feels like it’s holding you back? Paying for an education can be a stressful experience if you don’t know where to start, but luckily there are options out there for you to be able to pursue your future and keep your wallet happy. Financial aid is available to those who qualify and our financial aid team can help you discover what options are open to you!
Ways To Pay for an Esthetics Education
While esthetics school may be more affordable and less time consuming than a traditional college, it doesn’t mean that financial aid isn’t still important! We have some different tips on how you can comfortably pay for esthetician school and start getting paid to do a job that you love!

Federal Financial Aid
The government has plenty of different options for helping students pay for their education. Since we are an accredited school we are able to offer a few different options for students through federal financial aid assistance. These include but aren’t limited to:
Grants are typically awarded to students with financial need and often do not need to be repaid. Federal loans are another great option for students who might not qualify for grants. These are often great for students because they typically have lower interest rates than private loans and usually have a six month grace period after you’ve graduated before you need to start making payments. The great new is, after you’ve graduated and received a license in esthetics you can land a job you love to help pay for the rest of your education! We have a dedicated staff to helping you find *employment after graduation as well to make sure you are set up for success.
The first step to seeing if you’re eligible for financial aid is by filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®), entering our school code (038295), and getting in contact with our financial aid office to see if you are eligible for any of the financial assistance listed above.
It can take a few days to process how much financial assistance you are eligible to receive, but our financial aid office is available to help you at any time during the process to answer questions you may have!
Scholarships
Scholarships are another great way to pay for an education! You can look around in your community or online for scholarships that are being offered. Beauty Changes Lives, Beauty Schools Directory, and Dermalogica offer great scholarships for those who are interested in joining the world of skincare. Scholarships are a great way to pay for school because it’s typically money that doesn’t need to be paid back! You can check in with our financial aid office to see what scholarships are available for you to apply for.
A Part-Time Job or Side-Gig
We have a lot of students that choose to continue their education while working in a part-time job or side-gig. If this is the way that you would like to pay for school, make sure that you find a school that values its students’ busy lifestyles and offers part-time programs or flexible schedules.
Students often learn useful life skills in time-management and hard work while working and attending school this way!
How To Apply For Financial Aid
One of the best ways to get started paying for school is to apply for financial aid to see how much you may qualify for. The Federal Student Aid Office offers students the opportunity to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®). You can fill it out on your computer or even your smartphone so you can apply for it virtually anywhere! There are a few steps you’ll want to take to make sure the process goes smoothly:
- Create an FSA ID. This will allow you to sign your FAFSA® electronically.
- Gather the correct documents. You’ll need your social security number, your parent’s social security number if you are a dependant student, a driver’s license, an alien registration number if you are not a U.S. citizen, federal tax information, records of untaxed income, and information on your current financials.
- Start filling out your FAFSA® and sign and submit your application when it’s complete!
If you ever get stuck in the process of applying or run into any questions you may need to be answered, you are always welcome to contact our financial aid office to assist you with completing and submitting the FAFSA®.
