What Does an Esthetician Do?
An esthetician is someone who has the proper training and education to be considered a skincare expert! They aren’t considered dermatologists, but they can analyze and help treat many skin conditions and disorders that dermatologists can, like acne, dry skin, rosacea, and more!
Depending on what you want to pursue in the world of skincare determines the level of expertise and education you need to obtain. That’s why we offer several different programs to help people pursue the career path that fits their goals and ambitions.
Basic esthetics is the course we offer that teaches the fundamentals of skincare. This gives our students plenty of time to discover their love for skincare and what working in the industry looks like. We teach our students plenty of knowledge to help them be prepared for work after their training has finished. If the basics is all a student wants to learn, they can still be ready to use their new craft in the world!
If you’re still eager to learn more about skincare and esthetics, the master esthetics program is the next option to further your knowledge with advanced modalities. This training can allow students to work in medical-based settings and help them become more well-rounded and self-marketable.
You can learn more about how to become an esthetician in our guide!
Can I Take Master Esthetics Without Taking the Basic Esthetics Class?
Each of our students are required to start with the basics, and if they choose to further their education into more advanced skincare procedures they can then pursue the master esthetics training. We want to make sure our students are set up for success and know the fundamentals of skincare before moving on to work with more advanced machines and techniques.
What Is Comprehensive Esthetics?
We offer a third program that combines both our basic esthetics program and our master esthetics program into one program! Many students who know they want to learn more about the advanced skincare procedures and techniques taught in our master esthetics classes will opt in to our comprehensive program instead so that they save time and money in their education.
The advantage to our comprehensive program is that instead of finishing a basic esthetics program and then having to wait for the next master esthetics program start date, you can seamlessly transition from learning the basics to learning advanced skincare techniques in one program.
How Do I Decide Which Program Is Right For Me?
The first step to figuring out which program would best fit your career goals is to experience the programs for yourself! Taking a tour of our school is a great way to be able to do that! One of our admissions representatives will greet you and walk you through our campus, showing you the different areas of our school, introducing you to students and staff, as well as talking to you about the different options available with each of our programs!
You can also come in for a visit at our student spa and sign up for services you’re interested in learning more about! This can allow you to speak with our students and ask them questions about their own experience attending Skinworks School of Advanced Skincare.
