Admissions Policy
Before enrolling in our program, there are a few essential steps to ensure your eligibility and secure your place. This includes providing documentation such as a High School Diploma or GED Certificate, a valid State ID, and a Social Security card. These documents not only verify your identity but also demonstrate your commitment to your education and future career.
To solidify your enrollment and guarantee your spot in our programs, a few additional steps are necessary. Alongside the required documentation, students must complete the admissions contract. Additionally, we request a non-refundable application fee of $100.
Step 2: Take And Pass The Exams
After completing the required education and training hours, you’ll need to pass both a written and a practical exam administered. These exams evaluate your understanding of esthetician principles and your ability to perform various skincare treatments safely and effectively.
Written Exam
The 90-minute exam has 110 questions, with 100 of them counting toward your final score. The following explains what you’ll be tested on:
- Scientific Concepts (55%)
- Skin Care And Services (45%)
Practical Exam
The practical exam is where you’ll put your skills to the test. You can expect to be tested on:
- Work Area Preparation and Set Up of Supplies (10 minutes)
- Client Preparation and Basic Facial (25 minutes)
- Work Area Preparation for New Client and Set Up of Supplies (10 minutes)
- New Client Preparation and Hair Removal of the Eyebrows Using Simulated Soft Wax
and Tweezing (5-minute set-up, Untimed procedure)
- Facial Makeup (20 minutes)
- Blood Exposure Procedure (10 minutes)
- Particle Microdermabrasion on the Forehead (10 minutes)
- Eyelash Enhancement (10 minutes)
- 9. Hair Removal of the Upper Lip Using Hard Wax (10 minutes)
Step 3: Apply For Your License

To apply for your license, the following requirements must be met:
- Verification of graduation OR other jurisdiction license verification
- Pass the NIC Theory & Practical Examinations
